I’m a writer, dancer, and marketing pro (not always in that order). I write fiction and sometimes nonfiction (and when the mood hits just right, poetry and satire).

Arrow pointing right

I’m a seeker, which is why I’m a writer. Fiction is my genre of choice, and I use it to grapple with the ever-complicated state of the world. In trying to make sense of it all for myself as a first-generation Syrian American, late-Millennial mother, I hope to shed light for everyone.

My work is deeply influenced by my experience as a woman in tech of Arab descent and I hope to continue to explore existential meaning and diverse perspectives in my fiction, short stories, essays, and poetry.

Infusing languages including Arabic, Spanish, German, and French into my writing as well as heady food writing, and visceral heartache, much of my fiction centers on relationships between two or more inaccessible hearts.

I’ve been working deep in the tech industry trenches as a public relations and content marketing professional for over 15 years. I have a journalism degree from Northeastern University.

You can read my fiction in Five on the Fifth and DarkWinter Literary Magazine.

My poetry has appeared in Spectrum Literary Arts Magazine.

My articles and essays have been published in Motherly, MediaPost, Social Media Today, Luna Luna Magazine, CureJoy, Blast Magazine, The Rivertowns Enterprise News, Huntington News and more.
